Other Help Topics :: testing the remastered dsl iso before burning

hi, i was maked a remaster of dsl 1.0.1 ("just copying .dsl files") and when i boot with this command to test the iso

dsl toram dma fromhd=/dev/hdc9

the system is loaded but the .dsl files are not, and them are on the root cdrom (iso) directory.

I dont want to burn it becouse i just a test and dont make sense burn every time that i make change to the iso.

The Knoppix cheatcode for booting an .iso is:
bootfrom=/dev/hdb1/myremaster.iso
This assumes that you have a remaster .iso in hard drive partition hdb1.
I do this all the time with my Knoppix remaster, to get it up and running quickly after the long and tedious remastering process. If it works right, then I can burn
a copy.
I put the various remastering command lines that I use in production into a file, in the
remaster, so I do not have to type them each time.
:D

doas not boot from and iso, boots from a device

but thanks, i can use it too

i have placed a lot of .dsl files on the root directory but when booting some of this files says that there is no space on /etc/...

and some others like openoffice dont say anything

any clue?
