Other Help Topics :: Before Insalling

I am faily new to linux and this will be my first time using a debian baised system. Is their anything in spisific that I sould know before installing on an old Compaq notebook 100(k6 456 prossor + 52mb memory). I just want to make certian that I have evrything I need before I get the CD. Thanks in advanced.
