Other Help Topics :: external CD-RW drive not recognized

I can't seem to get my external Que Combo CD-RW drive to work. It's connected to my old laptop through via a Firewire PCMCIA card. The only thing that shows up when I do a "cedrecord -scanbus" is the CD-ROM drive installed on the laptop. Any suggestions?
