Other Help Topics :: how to use dsl vga=normal on hdinstall

i have an old monitor that messes up at high res, mostly it is fine but the command line and boot text and stuff goes wierd.
with the cd i could use dsl vga=normal to fix it but with hdinstall that no workie.
how can i fix this?

put vga=normal as first line of /etc/lilo.conf and then run the command lilo
