for some reason I can not log in to my dsl account I have to log into root

can I reset the dsl user account password?

or is there a way to add all my downloads from mudsl on my dsl account to root?

su dsl
passwd

<enter your new password for dsl>

it says this applet requires root priviledgs

ur not far off doing to, but

passwd can only be run as 'root'

so stay logged in as root and type

passwd <username of password to change>

ie

passwd dsl

and that'll change the password of user dsl
