someone could have answered you can not compile modules in 2.X...

You can compile them, but someone here is going to have to write a book-sized answer to your question.

I haven't done it myself, so I am not the right person.

But my suspicion is that someone will write a how-to and publish it here. No guarantees, though.

well, i hope that this particular someone would write it soon..
anyway, would you suggest that i should use 1.x, if i'll try to compile a module?
