How about try this. Boot with:

dsl nosmp acpi=off

Then after bootup, open a terminal window and type:

sudo su
modprobe r8169
netcardconfig

and try using your wired lan for eth0 or possible eth1

About dsl nosmp acpi=off, if I do that the pc freeze,when I see on the screen only one TUX and then it freeze at usb scanning
I had try only dsl nosmp at boot. I run xterm and i I try to use my wireless card with ndiswrapper. It look good but after <> 5 mn the pc freeze(I was on DILLO not Firefox).
I am going to try the DSL2.0.iso may be better.
What does it mean acpi (I think that enable automatic "recognization" (excuse me) of pci card isn't it?

Hi.
It's the same pb with a later DSL. With the last DSL, it's running everywhere but not on my home's pc. I think it's due that my home'spc is too new. I have an eth gigabit card, with a prescot intel 3ghz, a wireless ovislink (driver RT2500)
I think also, that DSL may be run better on my home's pc with a 2.6 kernel.
Do you think it's possible to make my owner DSL with a 2.6 kernel???
If yes, how can I do that ?
