Other Help Topics :: Cant save my settings

I am new to Linux and I dont know how to get my settings to be saved onto a floppy disk from my Boot CD version of DSL. I have located the .filetool.lst but i dont know how to get it on my floppy.

Please someone help me!!!

In the DSL control panel there is a button for Backup/Restore. Click that and enter the location of your floppy drive, then click Backup. The problem might be that the backup file is too large for a floppy though.
for example:

fd0

Where in the documentation does it mention that the floppy drive is fd0? I was really lost until I read this post. The panel even labels the floppy drive as "floppy" and the documentation on the wiki says to save to "floppy as well. Thanks.
A floppy drive in any linux system is almost always going to be fd0 (floppy drive zero).  This is Linux 101 knowledge, so it shouldn't need to be in distro-specific documentation.  It's the equivalent of A:\ or B:\ in a Windows system.
If you happen to have 2 floppies you might have fd0 and fd1.  If it's a USB floppy, it might be something else, but i can't say from experience.
