Can this rc2 run with the legacy cheat code or was that just not included? |

The "legacy" boot code is dsl specific.
dsl-n is not dsl.
No such code exists or would even be needed.
If you are still experiencing missing menu items from extensions then download the extension again. All extensions that had such issues were repacked as stated in the dsl forums.
This repacking should also benefit dsl-n users. |

Thanks robert, i'm just having the usual unionfs issues. I don't know why that unionfs just won't work right for me. You did a great job on this rc2, it works 100% better than rc1. As far as i could tell i had no problems with extentions. It seems for me the unionfs keeps making files under /unionfs, so that those files won't open. in rox it just freezes with the word scanning on the top. oh well, guess i'm just out of luck. |

Here's a suggestion. Tell us what a libretto ct50 is.
You know, laptop/desktop, cpu chipset and Mhz, RAM count.
Sorry about the problems ur having getting dsl-n to work. It booted up fine for me, I can't imagine what would be causing those. Have you doublechecked your iso? Have you tried reburning?
A while ago, I burned a KNOPPIX CD, loaded it up, and it froze on boot. I md5summed every file on the disk, and they were perfect; I couldn't imagine what could be wrong. I reburned the CD, and it booted fine. Food for thought. |

Who does hard drive install ? I don't!
That is why it is not on the menu.
No. Really the hard drive install script if not ready yet.
I am more focused on the ways of DSL, which is liveCD and frugal installs.
But a temporary fix, only needed for hard drive install.
Try # mount / -o remount,rw
Now that is weird. |

You should try a frugal install. In fact, I believe that there is a DSL user who has it running on such a machine. That being DSL and not DSL-N.
With frugal, often times, one must remove the hard drive and perform the frugal install from a more capable machine. Just be sure to use GRUB, as it will be easier to adjust, if needed, when you reinstall the hard drive and boot from your Libretto. |

make sure you read dillo about saving your settings so you can have it restored at every start or it will be like booting the cd at every start. |
