Hey, DSL-N is great!! I am having a problem with my NIC. I am a Windows guy who is trying out linux for the first time.

I have a Dell Dimension 9100 with an Intel Pro NIC card - the one built into to the motherboard. When I boot up alpha 5 release it doesn't detect any network cards. I was wondering if you guys had any advice for getting my NIC working.

On my Dimension 3100 using Slackware 10.2 Linux I have to
modprobe e100. The driver is in /lib/modules/2.4.31/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o.gz

If you want to use Ghost 7 Enterprise to back up an XP system then you
sue the NDIS driver e100b.dos (search Intel for PRODOS2 and Ghost)

The Intel Pro/100PCI drivers don't seem to work when the chipset is used
on a motherboard.
