I would like to request that the ipw2200 firmware be pre-installed by the DSL-N distro so that several wireless laptops will work immediately without user-intervention:
IBM Thinkpads X30 / X31 / X41 / T41 / T42
The Ubuntu Live distro does this and therefore wireless support works out of the box. Hopefully that means there is no legal issue preventing DSL-N from also doing this.
Now that the firmware is not there, the following happens in "dmesg":

I hope this helps. The DSL-N distro is great and this addition would make it usable for a larger user population (at least for myself and 16 of my co-workers).
