Hi, first of all, I think that DSL on a pendrive is greate.

But I can not get it to stop going in to sleppmode

If it is doing it before you get to the desktop, as in your monitor goes black and the led flashes or turns amber or does whatever it does to signify that it is in standby, you should try running at a lower resolution. maybe try starting it in framebuffer mode. Most monitors will do this when you try to display at a resolution or frequency that the monitor was not intended to display (on other monitors, it just damages the crg). My desktop does it if I try to go over 1024x768, or faster than 70hz. Try running fb800x600 at the boot prompt.
