Hi I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction on this one.

I have done a frugal grub install through the menus on the RC1 live CD.

I installed the cd image to hda1 and have set up hda2 as swap. I also have created a partition (hda3) for which I intend for persistent home, DSL extensions and saving my configuration (if it is possile).

As I understand it I need to edit my menu.lst file with the relevant cheat codes to be able to do this. I think this file is located in /mnt/hda1/boot/grub/ Unfortunately when I browse to /mnt/hda1 in emeLFM there appear to be no files or folders. This seems odd as the partition is mounted and hda1 is where I installed the cd image.

I feel like I must be missing something obvious and if someone could point it out it would be great.

Also, is there some documentation around detailing the different cheat code options as I can't seem to find it anywhere?

Thanks for your help

I managed to sort it. I needed to be in the live cd environment. Looks like a great distro so far

You should be able to edit from running frugal system (not toram).
As root edit the file /cdrom/boot/grub/menu.lst
If also using the toram option then mount the partition from where you booted.
