I install to my laptop the dsl 3.0.1.
The installation it was successfully. Except the GUI. The color is awful, background is a very dark blue...
I thing something goings wrong with graphics card.
The laptop has 80MB ram, Pentium MMX 133MHz, Cirrus CL-GD7548 (in windows works at 800x600x8). I try some configuration using xsetup.sh and then xstart but nothing to look like your screenshots.

Please give me instructions how to solve this awful GUI.
If you need more informations/detail please inform me.

Thanks in advance,
Elias

Maybe best is to look at the DSL Wiki - there is a section about graphics boot codes and how to check what modes are supported by your machine.

There is also the option to download XFree86.dsl but this will take some effort to configure for your specific graphics card

Did you try running the xsetup.sh script from the command line?

How about booting with fb800x600 before your other boot cheatcodes:

boot: fb800x600 lowram vga=789

If you choose to install XFree86, then this may help:

It appears that the 1520d could run 800x600x16, but your LCD and video
memory may be different. Have you tried using 800x600x16 with Windows?

Also, that example is for an old version of XFree86.

The web page address doesn't appear in the post unless I put quotes
around it.
