There are a few small issues I noticed right away.
There are no pointers in the fluxbox menus.
Do you have a place where you put some information on the reasoning behind each choice of what you included in this distribution?
Why 2.6.11 instead of say, 2.6.14?
Do you plan on a different name?
When I open mplayer and tried to play the default address I got an error that it failed to open the address in the ramdisk.

I can't wait to start digging into this one, but I don't have any personal days left to take off from work!

Dang, I forgot the arrows.I have been trying to keep two distros in sync with all the changes.

Reasoning...
I started to strip Knoppix 3.9 awhile back. Takes some time to do.
I was trying to apply this to DSL proper. I could only get down to a bare minimum 35MB core Knoppix/MyDSL system. No apps. 50MB limit was out of the question. John and I decided it was not very useful like that and so DSL-N was born.
I am not very good at the apps part. It was John's selection of useful apps while styiing to stay small.
I will have to learn how to use these included apps as well. But then my focus is usual on supporting the infrastructure.

Another great idea from the DSL team.

I hope to have it loaded onto a Lexar flash drive this evening.

Thanks,

Jeff

I will download DSL - N and get it working on my trusty Dell Insoiron. I have been using DSL since 1.5 and love most of it. The only app which I dislike is SIAG but I understand why it is there. I look forward to a better spreadsheet experience.

Many thanks for the hard work.

I too appreciate having Gnumeric instead of Siag. I had a difficult time installing it into DSL before, and have been using Puppy instead. This may bring me back to DSL(-N). I'll have to spend some time exploring after work, but a quick run after I downloaded it looks good and started up well on my IBM thinkpad laptop.

Thanks so much! Very Happy
