For some reason my CDROM drive is not showing when I start DSL-N, i try to mount it with the mounting tool but it does not give me the option to do it, I installed the OS to my hard drive. When I boot from the live CD then the system shows me the CD drive and it says not mounted, when I try to mount it it does not let me do it either, any ideas about this? the laptop I'm using for this installation is a Micron Pentium II 300 Mhtz with 64MB of RAM. is there something i missed in the installation process? should I install the OS again?,thank you. Sad

Hi,

I see this is an old post so you've probably already resolved this issue. Anyways, I had a similar problem and it took me weeks to figure it out. Inside of my lilo.conf there was a line assigning my hdc to scsi. Something like:

..... hdc=scsi.....

hdc was my cdrom drive, so I removed that line, atleast the part about assigning it to scsi and it worked. Upon next boot instead of seeing it assigned to the scsi I saw the actual Universal CD-Rom driver load Smile
