Hi!
I'm using the RC4 of dsl-n on a 512mb usb drive (dsl didn't support some of my hardware) and i'm loving it, it's so fast that i'm going to recommend it to everyone. I just wish that i could use sound (not available), tv and that there wasn't lack of information on how to install software and where to find it on this distro (since it's a debian based distro may we use the stable version of debian software?). By the way the main screen (when you boot from the cd) looks more professional in the dsl project than in dsl-n and the same thing goes about the desktop wallpaper and theme colour and since this project is made from the same people who work on dsl isn't it possible to use the same look?

The boot screen is from the same digital artist.
Wallpaper is a personal choice. Never will eveyone be happy.
The two systems are very different just try some of the dsl extensions.
Not all of older libraries of dsl are not in dsl-n. dsl-n has gtk2 built in dsl does not.
As far as sound goes, OSS works on all of the test systems.
If you system requires ALSA then try the alsa.dsl. It works for me. |
