DSL-N is based on Fluxbox, which is great, but I was a little bit surprised to find the same old version here than in DSL. For full transparency and rounded corners I will still need fluxbox_0.9.14.uci. Anyone else wanting to give DSL-N that visual + ?

Being a fan of the new FB you may not be happy with the reason why we are sticking to the older build. But here it is:
We like it better.

The old build is just such an efficient work environment, the tab functionality is superior to the new builds.

The transparency in the new build is great eyecandy, but the stable build just works. In a tight 800x600 res I'd much prefer the ability to scroll through tabs with the mouse wheel.

Overall, this is one of the main reasons I look to DSL (and DSL-N) for my Linux OS. I am not a big fan of needing the latest of every piece of software. Give me something stable and reliable and I will keep it for as long as I can.

Before discovering Linux, I used DOS for as long as I could, nearly skipping Windows 3.1. When Windows 95 came out I went to NT and stayed with it through the vaious 98 versions. Jumped on Win2K and from there I have gone to Linux. I have one XP machine for work but otherwise it is all linux.

Keep up the great work guys. Stability and reliability is more important to me than eye candy.

I'm with desnotes, I like stability and reliability. When I'm not using DSL I'm in Debian Sarge.

In Debian Sarge you have Fluxbox 0.9.11, but even 0.9.15 is considered by many to be stable enough to work on it all day. I only use 0.9.14 in DSL, even on a Pentium I, and never had a single problem. I also need an efficient and reliable work environment, but it has to be pleasant too. Anyway this was just a thought. Looking forward for a stable version of DSL-N !
